About the EBS User Group 

The group consists of employees and principals of companies who use business system software provided by EBS, Inc. 

The EBS User Group (EUG) is a member owned and managed organization originally incorporated in 1986.  Its purpose originally was to protect the rights of its members and guarantee the longevity of the EBS software during some rather turbulent times for both EBS and its members. 

While EUG continues to be member owned and managed, protect the rights of its members and maintain copies of the source code in the event of an insolvency we have evolved into much more.  2008 marks yet another rather large step in our continued evolution with the advent of a new website, a wiki, & a change to forums over our older egroup notices we used. 

Additionally, EUG provides;

• A network of users with common interests and problems.
• A legal entity, to ensure the viability of EBS and get control of the software in the advent of an insolvency.
• Control the Philosophical direction of the software.
• Recommend enhancements.
• Negotiate Bulk purchases of software.
• Provide aid to the users of the software by providing another avenue answers used in real life by companies.
• Provide an electronic forum to ask questions and thread the answers to keep the topic meaningful.
• Provide and maintain an electronic wiki to help store workarounds and fixes as well as become the golden copy of the instruction manual.  It’s a living breathing thing updated by our members.
• Provide and maintain a website for our members.
• Provide alerts via electronic delivery.
• Conduct annual meetings for the users benefits and hands on training.
• Partner with specific Service Providers to discount services for our group members.
